The Plantscape: For Photos and Plants
A novel way to keep plants and memories around the house.
When I first got hooked on the idea of getting a 3D printer I knew I wanted to make something interesting and somewhat useful. While I had quite a few ideas to get started, one that stood out was something that I came to call a plantscape.
My wife is pretty big into succulents and we often have them dispensed widely throughout the house. I figured it would be nice to somehow organize the plants while also giving us more space to add photos — since we are big on that as well.
Enter the Plantscapes Frame!
In all honesty this is quite the simple design. It’s a simple square with a few cut out slots on the side to allow a photo to slide through. In the above photo, the picture used hangs out a bit because I only had one on hand that was too big! It’s easy to make adjustments for the right sized photo, however.
I used Tinkercad to make the frame and I think if I get into more intricate designs in the future I would probably move to Fusion 360.
