The Great Dalmutti is a 4–8 player card game created by Dungeons and Dragons producers.

While you’re probably thinking: “Oh No, another card game!”, let me be the first to assuage your concerns. The Great Dalmutti is quite a bit of fun, especially if players introduce a role playing element into the gameplay while dishing out cards. Games can last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour or more, but a lot can happen and victory can easily be snatched from clutches of any unprepared Dalmutti.

To start the game, each player is dealt an equivalent number of cards from a shuffled deck.

Once each player is given their deck of cards, each of them draw one random card and reveals it.

The player who holds the lowest numerical value card (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, etc) will be declared the Great Dalmutti and start the game.

Each player then takes turns placing down a set of cards with any given value. For example, The Great Dalmutti can place 5 Templars (with a value of 6) down on the board. The next player (play proceeds in clockwise order) will then have to play 5 cards with a value of 5 or lower onto the board.

If the players are unable to put down any cards then they must pass to the next player. If no…
